ASA Award & Mentoring Dinner

Tickets to the SALC annual Award and Mentoring Dinner are now on sale.

The dinner will be Sunday August 13, 2017. 6:30pm at the Intercontinental Montréal, 360, rue Saint-Antoine Ouest, Montréal, QC H2Y 3X4, Canada. (The hotel is a block from Palais des Congrès where all of the Annual Meeting programming will occur.) This dinner provides opportunities for mentoring graduate students and celebrating our section award winners, including our Matilda White Riley Distinguished Scholar.

Thanks to generous institutional and individual donations that offset the price of the dinner, we are able to sell tickets well below cost. Tickets for faculty and post docs are $35 US and tickets for graduate students are $10 US.

To order tickets, mail a check, made out to “American Sociological Association, SALC,” to Madonna Harrington Meyer, 302 Maxwell Hall, Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY 13244.

The dinner also includes a brief mentoring program. This year, “Getting Published,” will include presentations by Professors Deborah Carr and Tyson Brown.

When you arrive at the restaurant, your reservation will be checked and you will receive a ticket for a free drink. You may purchase additional drinks from the cash bar.

See you in Montreal!
